The Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library dedicated their newest Little Free Library at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, east of Ellsworth on Highway 72, on Wednesday, Aug. 2. The Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce was there with their ribbon and big scissors to make it official.

The Little Free Library program inspires a love of reading, builds community, and sparks creativity by fostering neighborhood book exchanges. In total, six Little Free Libraries will be installed throughout the area thanks to support through the Indianhead Federated Library System's Community Engagement Program, partnerships with the Ellsworth Middle and High Schools, and surrounding townships and businesses.

Some of the Little Free Library locations include Trimbelle Town Hall, Nesbitt's Nursery & Orchard, and El Paso, with installations in Esdaile and Maiden Rock taking place soon. Everyone is invited to stop by one of the libraries and take or leave a book.
